4 Yoga Postures For Self Love

Sometimes, it doesn’t feel so easy to love yourself, and more often than not we allow negative thoughts to cloud our mind.

I believe the best way to nourish our soul is by allowing ourselves to give and receive the love we deserve, a job that only we can do for ourselves.

Self-love is all about fostering a healthy sense of self-esteem and recognizing your worth.

This is where yoga comes in. Yoga puts you in a state of meditation, helping you to let go of the thoughts that whisper you are not good enough and keep you in a state of low self-esteem. Yoga replaces them with positive thoughts such as the feelings of strength, stability, and energy.

Yoga is a chance to focus on yourself and tune into your body’s needs.

Follow these 4 yoga postures and connect to your heart chakra (The Heart Chakra is the energy center for love, compassion, and emotion in our bodies and in our lives).

Open your heart and truly embrace self love.

As you prepare to practice these heart opening poses, let your mantra be

“I live with an open heart.”

Breathe it in and breathe it out. Allow your mantra to serve as your motivation through your practice to keep going, to keep holding the pose(s) just a little longer.

Yoga posture 1 : Bridge Pose

Bridge Pose is a gentler variation of Wheel Pose and it begins to create flexibility and strength in your spine.

Yoga posture 2: Triangle Pose

Embrace the stability and expansion of Triangle Pose to ground your body and steady your mind.

Yoga posture 3: Cobra

Cobra strengthens and tones your arms while creating flexibility in your spine. It’s a great, gentle pose to practice if you spend a lot of time on a computer.

Yoga posture 4: Dancer Pose

Dancer pose is a glorious heart-opening backbend, but it is first and foremost an asymmetrical standing balance pose.

When you open your heart, you open the door to infinite possibilities

When we live with an open heart, we accept ourselves, and we dispose of hatred and negativity because we understand that it doesn’t serve us. We try to view the world through eyes of love, utilizing the power of both acceptance and forgiveness to fill our hearts with happiness and wholeness.
